The aroma that hit my nose as I stepped through the door was amazing. The sight of fresh dough being prepped and all the delicious toppings just made my mouth water.

I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza and it didn’t disappoint. Crispy crust, savory sauce, and perfectly seasoned pepperonis – this pizza had it all. Perhaps the best part was that each slice could be folded up like real New York-style pizza!

The space itself isn’t much to look at, but the interior decorations are pleasant and the staff are friendly. The smell of the wood fired oven filled with delicious pizza greets you as soon as you walk in.

I ordered a simple Margherita pizza with extra cheese and oh man, it was amazing! The crust was thin and crispy with just enough char from the wood fired oven. The tomatoes were fresh and sweet, and the cheese was gooey and delicious.

If that wasn’t enough, I had one of their signature pies which was loaded up with mushrooms, peppers, onions, and sausage. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and flavorful without being too heavy or greasy. Plus the spicy Italian sausage gave it a nice kick of flavor!

To begin with, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The decor has a vintage feel to it, making you feel like you’re in an old Italian pizzeria. When I arrived, the place seemed to be straight out of a fairytale — all the staff were friendly, attentive and passionate about pizza. The restaurant itself was a pleasant surprise — decorated with colorful banners and strings of lights.

The menu had all the usual suspects such as classic margherita, but what really caught my eye was their specialty pizzas. Think delectable combinations of fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, basil and balsamic glaze on top of a thin but crunchy crust. Delicious!

The staff were patient and helpful in discussing their pizzas and gave great advice on how to best enjoy each one.

I went for the classic margherita which came out piping hot in under ten minutes – definitely cooked in an authentic brick oven! The taste was nothing short of spectacular – it had a unique flavor that was unlike any pizzas I’ve ever tasted before. Plus, it had just enough cheese and tomato – it balanced perfectly with the crusty edges from the oven.

In conclusion, Dellarocco’s Brick Oven Pizza is definitely the best pizza I have experienced in Downtown Brooklyn! As someone who has eaten pizza in many different places around the world, this one beats them all hands down!

Now, I don’t say that lightly. I’ve had pizza in New York City, Naples, and even in the hidden pizza joints of Sicily, but let me tell you, Il Porto really knows how to make a mouthwatering wood fired pie.

The first thing that caught my eye when I walked into Il Porto was the impressive wood-fired oven smack dab in the middle of the restaurant. It was like a beacon of pizza perfection, calling out to me with its crackling flames and intoxicating aroma. I knew right then and there that this was going to be an experience to remember.

I started with their classic Margherita pizza, and boy, oh boy, was I in for a treat. The crust had that perfect char, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, just the way a wood fired pizza should be. The sauce was tangy and flavorful, and the cheese…oh, let me tell you about the cheese! It was gooey, melty, and absolutely heavenly. I could have eaten an entire pizza on my own, but I had to save room for more.
