If you love cheesecake and you love pie, then what could be better than combining them both into this easy to make Strawberry Cheesecake Pie Recipe?
The classic flavors of strawberry cheesecake come together in pie form in this easy-to-make and delicious recipe.
This recipe is super simple to put together since we use some shortcuts like Dream Whip and prepared strawberry glaze.
If you wanted to make it even easier, you could start with a prepared graham cracker crust and substitute thawed Cool Whip for the dream whip.
On the other hand, if you want to make it totally “from scratch” you could whip your own cream (see our easy homemade whipped cream recipe here) and make your own strawberry glaze. It’s all up to you!
While we like to make this with the plain flavored cream cheese, you can also use strawberry flavored cream cheese.
Likewise, feel free to switch out the strawberries for blueberries, raspberries or whatever type of fruit you love. Why not make several?
This recipe is perfect to bring to a potluck mealor if you’re asked to bring dessert to a dinner party. A handy way to transport your pie is with thistwo tier pie carrier– yes it has two tiers, which means you can carry TWO pies in the one carrier! It’salso great for transporting cupcakes!
While you can use a clear glass pie plate like we did this time, the pie looks extra pretty served in this red ceramic pie plate!
It’s perfect to bring to a potluck or family event for a bit of extra “wow factor” and of course it will look pretty on your own table at home!

Cream cheese pie does not contain eggs, which means it does not need to be baked.Cheesecake, on the other hand, includes eggs and must be baked, which makes it a bit more complex in flavor and preparation.
Mix sugar, cornstarch, 1/2 c of the strawberries, crushed, water and lemon juice in a saucepan. Cook until thickened. Chill. Fill cooled pie shell with remaining strawberries, halved, and cover with cooked mixture.
If it's warm or hot, it'll cook the berries, causing them to leak moisture, causing your pie to be runny, weepy, or not set up. This also happens if you let the pie sit too long in the refrigerator, which is why it's best eaten the day it's assembled.
New York cheesecake is heavy on the cream cheese which is why it's so dense and rich. Extra cream cheese isn't the only thing that makes New York cheesecake so special. It also includes extra eggs and egg yolks to provide and smooth consistency.
They both are great in their own way. It all narrows down to your personal preferences. If you enjoy dense and velvety cake, a baked cheesecake is the one for you. Or if you crave some light and airy dessert post-dinner, go for the no-bake one.
The most common way to ward off a soggy pie crust is by a process called blind baking. Blind baking means you pre-bake the crust (sometimes covered with parchment or foil and weighed down with pie weights to prevent the crust from bubbling up) so that it sets and crisps up before you add any wet filling.
Truly, all you need is the pie crusts and a filling of some sort. For jam pies, you could use any jam, preserves, or marmalade. We're just going to dollop it on and fold the curst over – so simple!
Some say that scattering small bits of butter over a fruit filling keeps the juices from bubbling over in the same way that adding a bit of fat to simmering jam keeps it from foaming up in the preserving pan. The theory is that the fat disrupts the formation of bubbles on the surface of the viscous fruit mixture.
McDonald's USA told Eat This, Not That! that the Strawberry & Crème Pie is only available regionally in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City for a limited time. fast-food chain has reissued it as a limited-edition. Media reports say it was last accessible in spring 2023.
Many pie fillings are made with a processed thickening agent that keeps the filling jelly-like and in place. But McDonald's uses a dehydrated apple powder. The powder not only thickens the filling, but it also adds that extra apple taste that you love.
The Strawberry Crème Pie has started to appear at McDonald's locations across America and officially replaced the fast-food giant's Holiday Pie, AllRecipes.com said. According to the McDonald's website, the pie is made with strawberries and a vanilla-flavored crème that are baked side by side in a sugar-coated crust.
Very often flour or cornstarch is used, but in certain instances tapioca, arrowroot and potato starch can also help achieve the desired consistency. Tapioca starch is preferable for products that will be frozen because it will not break down when thawed. We like tapioca in blueberry, cherry or peach pies.
If a pie contains eggs or dairy products, it should be stored in the refrigerator and not left out at room temperature for more than two hours. Pies that do not contain dairy products, such as fruit pies can be stored, loosely covered at room temperature for up to two days.
Cheesecake is called "cheesecake" because does not typically contain yeast, and has a crust. Whether it's baked or not, cheesecake is really a form of pie with a crust on the bottom. Most baked cheesecakes use custard as the filling made up of eggs, milk, sugar, salt, vanilla or other flavors.
A New York Cheesecake is the larger, richer and more indulgent cousin of the traditional cheesecake. We all know how American's like things bigger and better in the USA and cheesecakes are no exception (not that we're complaining).
Cheesecake is just one of the desserts that falls into the category of having “cake” in the name despite possibly not being a cake at all from a pure definition standpoint. Cheesecake is typically made with a cheese like ricotta, cream cheese, or Neufchatel (a creamy French cheese).
A quiche is a pastry base, filled with a (mostly) cheese & egg mixture, often with other stuff in it. A pie, sweet or savory, can have a pastry base, or it could just be a container with a pastry lid. The lid must be whole.
