General

  • Dance Valley festival is the longest running day time dance festival in the world. It's held annually (when there’s no global pandemic) since 1995 in recreational area Spaarnwoude, Velsen-Zuid, the Netherlands.

  • The upcoming edition of Dance Valley will take place on Saturday, 10th of August 2024.

  • Dance Valley takes place at recreational area Spaarnwoude in Velsen-Zuid, the Netherlands.

    Navigational address: Oostbroekerweg 1, Velsen-Zuid, The Netherlands.

    Directions: From the A9 highway follow the signs to the festival.

  • The minimum age for visitors of Dance Valley festival is 18 years. All visitors are obliged to carry valid proof of identity, which must be displayed on request.

  • The doors open at 12:00 and the last show is till 23.00.

  • The doors do not stay open until 23.00. The latest time you can enter depends on the type of ticket you have purchased.

    • Regular ticket: Until 9:00 PM

    • Deluxe ticket: Until 8:00 PM

    • Guest ticket: Until 6:00 PM

    If you arrive after the last entry time for your ticket type, you will not be able to enter the festival area.

    We recommend arriving early to avoid any disappointment.

  • Yes, there are plenty of lockers at the festival site. Click here to buy your locker.

  • During the festival, you can pay with tokens. These can be purchased from the special token desks.

  • To reduce waste we will be working with a recycle token system. This means you will receive one free recycle token upon entrance. When you get your first drink you hand in your recycle token. From then on, you hand in your empty cup whenever you get a new drink. When you do not hand in an empty cup you will have to pay 1 token extra, so be smart and hand in those empty cups!

  • You are allowed to bring your (digital) camera with you. Make sure you take a lot of photos and share them with us on Instagram and Facebook via #DanceValley. Professional photography and video equipment is not permitted on the site.

  • In case of a special diet or an allergy it’s possible to bring own food/drinks, but that requires a doctor's permit. Otherwise, it's not allowed to bring your own food/drinks to Dance Valley. We offer a wide range of food and drinks at the festival.

  • At Dance Valley, we have a ZERO TOLERANCE drugs policy. Both hard and soft drugs are banned from the festival site.

  • We’ve got a big selection of vegetarian and vegan food.

  • It is possible to enter the grounds if you are disabled. We would like to mention that the hilly terrain, where the festival will take place, is not entirely wheelchair friendly. As a result, some areas of the festival may not be accessible to you. Disabled toilets are available at the festival site.

    Unfortunately, due to our mobility plan, in the context of overall traffic and audience safety, it is not possible to facilitate micro-level transportation. Unfortunately you cannot be dropped off in front of the festival. So ordered transportation for the return trip is unfortunately also not possible. However, you can be dropped off and picked up at the kiss & ride zone. Of course you can buy your own parking ticket to park close to the festival.

    • Perfume: Not allowed.

    • Sunscreen: Allowed, but not in spray cans. Often there are KWF smear teams present and in case of heat, pumps with sunscreen are available.

    • Make-up: Allowed if it is in the original packaging.

    • Deodorant: Only allowed in roller form, spray cans are not allowed.

  • The first shuttle buses to the event site will depart from Rhoneweg near Amsterdam Sloterdijk train station at 11:00 AM. These shuttle buses will run throughout the entire event. The bus ride takes approximately 25-30 minutes.

    You can purchase your shuttle bus ticket in advance through our ticket shop. A shuttle bus ticket costs €12 in advance and €15 at the shuttle bus stop at Sloterdijk station. This is a round-trip ticket.

    Return from the festival

    For the return trip, please allow for a short waiting time at the shuttle bus stop on the festival grounds. Also, consider additional travel time for collecting your belongings from your locker and walking to the shuttle bus stop. The last shuttle bus departs at 00:30 from the festival grounds to Amsterdam Sloterdijk station.

    Please be mindful of the last train and bus times for your journey home.

    Make sure to be on time for both the outbound and return trips!

  • Are you being dropped off and/or picked up? Then use the "Kiss & Ride" area. The location of the Kiss & Ride is clearly indicated with signs and is easily accessible for both visitors and drivers.

    Arrive early to avoid crowds.

  • DIRECTIONS:

    Use this address until you see the highway and signs marked 'P. DANCE VALLEY.' From that point on, follow the signs for the fastest route and turn off your navigation system.

    Don't forget your parking ticket, which you can purchase via this link.

    From the A9, there are special 'Dance Valley' signs along the road directing you to the correct exit. Pay close attention to the instructions on the message boards. After this, 'P. Dance Valley' signs will guide you to the parking area.

    We recommend arriving early to avoid congestion.

  • Dance Valley offers a well-maintained parking area with drainage, lighting, and traffic controllers. You can purchase your parking pass via this link.

    • Parking pass: €20.50

    The parking fee is €20.50 in advance and €25 at the parking lot. You will receive the key transportation information for your trip to Dance Valley via email before your journey. This way, you save money and are well-prepared! Follow the yellow signs to the parking area.

    • Special Parking Pass: €40.75

    Do you want to be assured of a parking spot in the main parking area close to the entrance? Then order a 'Special Parking Pass.'

    This parking area is drained and extra well-lit. Your car will be better visible, and the chance of it getting stuck due to possible rain is minimal.

    Are you coming by bike, scooter, or motorcycle? You can park these for free in the designated parking area close to the main entrance.

  • Tickets are available in our official ticketshop.

    Tickets can also be purchased through our official resale platform.

  • To prevent fraud and unwanted trade, you will receive your ticket(s) in the period just before the festival. Until then, the tickets are safely stored in our ticketing system. Of course, the tickets can be transferred to another name within our system, or resold, if necessary.

  • You can change your e-mail address on the website of our ticket provider.

  • Yes, it’s possible to scan tickets from a mobile phone. However, as the internet connection is not always stable on site, we would advise you to download your ticket to your phone in advance.

  • Please check the order confirmation you received in your e-mail after your purchase. Go to ‘my order’ and change the name on your ticket.

  • We do not accept unsolicited requests from artists. If this policy changes, it will be announced on our website and via our social media channels. The line-up for 2024 is completed.

  • The Dance Valley market is exclusively contracted. All the food is also exclusively contracted.
