Lohith says that he "finally" gathered the courage to post about his new position at DataWars.But let me tell you more about how we met, and you'll see how courageous he's been, and how important is to push for what you love.I first became acquainted with Lohith in our nascent DataWars' Discord Server. At the beginning, it was me answering most of the questions from users, but one day this guy came with a weird Ironman profile picture helping other users in a random server. We didn't know each other, we didn't pay him, anything. He just saw a question and helped. First show of courage.A few weeks in, after answering questions here and there, he started asking his own questions. But they were nothing like simple Python/Pandas questions, he was asking about the mathematical derivation of the Bias–variance tradeoff 😳.He was taking a course about Machine Learning, and he was digging even deeper by his own means into topics that were not covered. Second show of courage.A few months ago, he randomly emailed me with an idea of building a project for DataWars. We didn't post a search or anything like that. He initiated the contact. We obviously were extremely happy to count with him in our team. Third show of courage.Lohith is a great example of how working hard and pushing for what you like will do for you. I have gotten several important deals in my life by just cold-emailing someone and being honest about how we could collaborate. Worst thing that can happen? They don't reply.So keep pushing, keep asking for what you want, and keep building connections. I hope Lohith's courage serves as a motivator.

When you swear to anyone around, that you will NEVER EVER do something…..and then you do.“I will never work in Tel-Aviv because of the traffic, I am not crazy, a waste of time, over my dead body……”Ask anyone around me if they did not hear this over the years.One would think that, in my pros and cons list when deciding to take upon myself a new role, it would be written in large bolded letters and would be considered.But then you start a process,in a company that encourages you to have a 360 view,by meeting multiple people, encourages you to talk to customers,shares the strategy and wants to make sure that you feel comfortable with it…..Shares the opportunities, now and looking forward but also the challenges in an open, transparent,no bullsh*t, all on the table kind of way….It’s a done deal.You find yourself signing a contract while completely ignoring the traffic part!I'm excited to start my new job as Dir. This post made my whole week!When I took on a leadership role at Mosaic I had some very specific goals in mind.1. Build out a managed service division - ✔2. Hire people with amazing personalities and drive - ✔3. Make sure those people feel valued - ✔I have realized through this process that "goals" is the wrong word. "Goals" implies that there is a finish line. Something that can be obtained and then checked off permanently. So instead, I call them "habits". Every day a strive to conduct myself in a way that aligns with these three things. Every day I try to do things to build out our business in a way that attracts amazing people to work here because they feel valued. The best part is that everyone who works here does the same thing. They want to help each other. They want their team to feel valued. As a result, our company culture is unlike anything I have ever seen. Our team strives to be great and our clients get the very best support. It's truly amazing how things come full circle.
